I'm Jaime Aleman, and 915website.com is my business (915website LLC, El Paso, Texas). This page says what this website collects, why, who else handles it, how long I keep it, and how to get it deleted. I wrote it to be read.
What I collect
If you send the contact form:
- The name, email address and message you type.
- Where you were on the site when you sent it (the page, the service, and any campaign tags in the link you came from).
- The country your connection appears to come from.
- A scrambled version of your IP address (a hash, not the address itself). I use it only to limit how many messages one connection can send in an hour.
If you tap "Text me" or "Call me": the page runs a bot check, and if you pass it, shows my number and email. I don't save who tapped. For one hour I keep a counter tied to a scrambled version of your IP address, so a bot can't tap thousands of times.
If you just visit pages: I count visits with Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool. It records things like which page you viewed, the site that sent you, your browser and device type, and your country. It does not use cookies and does not follow you from site to site.
Why I collect it
- To read your message and write back.
- To keep spam and bots out.
- To see which pages and links bring in real people, so I can improve the site.
I don't sell your information, I don't share it for advertising, and I won't add you to a mailing list. The site has no ad tracking, so there is nothing for a "Do Not Track" setting to switch off.
Who else handles it
- Cloudflare hosts the site, stores contact messages in its database, and runs the Turnstile bot check. Like any web host, it sees the IP address of each visit. Turnstile may store small bits of data (cookies or similar) on its own domain, challenges.cloudflare.com, to tell people from bots.
- Resend delivers the email that tells me you sent a message. It does not email you.
- Umami does the analytics described above.
How long I keep it
- Contact messages: if we don't end up working together, I delete your name, email and message after 12 months. If you become a client, I keep it as a business record for as long as the work, and any legal or tax record-keeping tied to it, needs.
- Scrambled IP addresses: cleared after 30 days.
Your choices
You can ask me what I have about you, ask me to fix it, or ask me to delete it. Send a message through the contact form and write "privacy request" at the top, with the name and email you used. I'll answer within a few business days.
Children
This site is for business owners. It isn't meant for children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If I change what the site collects, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
