Lean on Dee — D The Life Coach®

intro

Dolores Castro Tate, known to her clients as Dee, is a certified life coach and El Paso native with a graduate degree in Psychology.

Dee has been part of my life for years — she was one of the first people who helped me find a better path, and along the way, a better way to show up for my daughters, Isabella and Olivia. When she was ready to launch her coaching practice online, I wanted to build it right.

She already had a website when she came to me — but the domain behind it turned into its own project.

Challenge

Dee's existing site was built on a website builder — a template she'd outgrown and wanted replaced with something built for her, not dragged and dropped into place. The bigger mess was underneath it: her domain was registered through Network Solutions, the backend registrar tied to her original builder signup, and paying renewal rates that only go up. She'd tried to sort it out before, including a GoDaddy detour with her nephew's help that only added more confusion about who actually controlled the domain.

The domain itself was locked with a transfer-prohibited flag, which meant it couldn't move anywhere until that was lifted from inside the Network Solutions account. Dee isn't the type to comfortably navigate registrar dashboards solo, so we did it together over a remote desktop session — me walking her through each screen in real time until we found the unlock code and got it out.

Solution

With the domain unlocked, I migrated it to Cloudflare — cheaper at-cost renewals, and everything managed in one place instead of scattered across accounts Dee didn't fully have access to. I pointed the nameservers at Cloudflare first so the new site could go live immediately, while the full registrar transfer finished in the background over the following week.

From there I built Lean on Dee from scratch: a warm, editorial site introducing Dee and her credentials, a Services section laying out what coaching with her actually looks like, a How It Works walkthrough for anyone unsure what to expect from a first session, an FAQ, a Resources section, and a Kind Words page for client testimonials. Every path on the site leads back to one clear action — Book Your Free Session.

Results

Lean on Dee is live, and Dee owns her domain outright for the first time — no more guessing which account or which company actually controls it. She's already collecting client reviews through the site's Google Business Profile, including one that came in the day after launch.

This is also the start, not the finish. Dee and I are still working together as the site grows with her practice.
